NEW: Menopause and osteoporosis counselling

Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterised by insufficient bone strength. The significance of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women is increasing for various reasons, often associated with a significant reduction in quality of life.

The diagnosis of osteoporosis is based on medical history, clinical presentation, laboratory tests and imaging examinations. The gold standard for the diagnosis of osteoporosis is bone density measurement using the DXA method. The aim of the diagnosis is to assess the individual risk of bone fractures and then recommend treatment to reduce this risk. There is now a recommendation for ultrasound-based examination to assess the risk of osteoporosis (pre-screening) and identify women who should undergo X-ray examination.

Our gynaecologist, Harald Meden, will be happy to help you with this.

Flu vaccination campaign starting in mid-October 2025

Our vaccination campaign will start in our practice on 15 October. All patients can get vaccinated without an appointment.

Walk-in service: Simply drop by during our regular opening hours and get vaccinated quickly and safely.

Gynaecology without prior appointment (walk-in)

We now offer short-term gynaecological consultations without prior appointment (walk-in). Dipl. Ärztin Xanthippi Adamoglou and Prof. Dr Harald Meden are looking forward to advising you. Please still call shortly beforehand. GP appointments are excluded. As usual, these must be booked in advance.

We now also offer antenatal classes. These are run by physiotherapist Jolanda Hochstrasser.

Information regarding data protection and electronic communication

Here you can book appointments for the practice visit. If there is no selection for your treatment or something is not available, please call us at 061 512 51 51.

While booking your first appointment, you must register with your name and cell phone number.

General condition for appointment bookings: If you are unable to keep the appointment, please inform us as soon as possible, but at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise we will charge you CHF 50 for this appointment. These costs are not covered by the health insurance.

Payment: If you do not bill via your health insurance, you can now also pay by TWINT or in cash.

Insurance

We welcome patients with all insurance models, including the general practitioner model. As a rule, you should first contact your GP in the event of illness (except in an emergency).

In the role of ‘gatekeeper’, your GP coordinates all medical treatment and, if necessary, referrals to specialists or medical facilities. They will provide you with competent advice, act as your representative and, if necessary, obtain a second opinion together with you following a visit to a specialist.

Change of health insurance company

If you are planning to change doctor or health insurance company, you will find us in the doctor’s list provided by your health insurance company under the group practice ‘Sanamea Kleinbasel’. You will then choose the specific GP you would like to be responsible for you in the future. As we are listed with your health insurance company as a group practice, another colleague is able to take over your care at any time if your own GP is absent. Please discuss the details with your health insurance company. Various tram and bus lines stop in front of the building. Cars are able to stop in front of the entrance, and the Clarahuus and Rebgasse car parks are within a two-minute walk.
